This occasion called for a smaller than usual set of Roman shades, so we cut the chosen dark purple fabric to size and got to sewing. These Roman shades only have five pleats when drawn all the way upward, but with the lacy jade valences hanging at each upper corner of the door they look perfectly ornate.
